Police are investigating after a man was found dead in northwest Oklahoma City.
Officers were called about 6:25 a.m. Tuesday to the 2900 block of Land Avenue near NW 30th and May Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a man dead at the scene.
“My husband woke up to go to work and he tried to open the back door and the police told him not to open it, there's a dead body over there,” Raquel Luciano said.
The man was identified as 25-year-old Damon T. Palmer. He had "trauma to the body consistent with signs of homicide."
“At this time there does appear there is signs of trauma to the body consistent with signs of homicide, but as to the actual cause of death, right now that's under investigation,” Oklahoma City police Sgt. Megan Morgan said.
So far, no arrests have been made.
Several neighbors told News 9 it was a quite night before waking up to a flood of police cars.
“I didn't hear nothing, the police asked me, we didn't hear anything. Nobody in the house heard anything, so they said that they think they he they just dropped him over there,” Luciano said. “That somebody shot him in another place and dropped him over here.”
Police said they are still working to piece it all together.
“I don't even know exactly how he was killed I just know that there was signs of trauma to that body,” Morgan said. “I don't know if that's the original crime scene or if there's another crime scene.”
