1 Dead, 1 Injured After Jet-Ski Crash On Lake Tenkiller

The Keys Fire Chief near Tahlequah said one man is dead and another is in a Tulsa hospital after a jet-ski crash on Lake Tenkiller.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers said a jet ski crash on Lake Tenkiller near Tahlequah killed one man and sent another to the hospital.

The two crashed into the bank and hit a tree near the Barnacle Bill's Marina around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

OHP said 22-year-old Desmond Bennett of Wanette died at the scene.

Troopers sad his 26-year-old passenger, Kenneth Allison was taken to a Tulsa hospital in a helicopter. Allison is stable, but does have some leg injuries.

The jet ski didn't have the proper lighting to be out at night, according to OHP.

The accident report states that the 22-year-old driver smelled of alcohol, but authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the crash.
