The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the body of a drowning victim was recovered Tuesday at Lake Murray.
According to the report, the victim identified as 70-year-old Allan G. Travis, was swimming at the lake around 5 p.m. Sunday, June 28. Investigators said Travis was attempting to swim back to the vessel, but it drifted away due to high winds. Travis went under and never resurfaced, OHP said.
He was recovered just before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday by Marine Enforcement and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol dive team.
