Storms tore through the state overnight bringing dangerous winds and lightning and leaving thousands of Oklahomans to pick up the pieces Sunday morning.

The city of Norman was hit especially hard as power lines and trees were blown over with some hitting buildings.

OG&E reported just under 20,000 outages statewide as of 4:45 p.m. Sunday. The majority of those outages are centered in Norman (4,266) and Oklahoma City (4,097).

The city of Moore has 1,286 residents without electricity.
