Driver Found Dead, Possibly Shot To Death In Choctaw

Multiple authorities are investigating a shooting and a crash after officers found a victim dead inside of a car Wednesday morning in Choctaw.

According to authorities, officers responded to a shooting call around 2 a.m. near Northeast 36th Street and Choctaw Road. When officers arrived, they found a car in a ditch with the driver dead inside. The driver had been shot.

Northeast 36th Street between Youngs Drive and Harper Street was blocked while authorities investigated. Police said there were multiple shell casings found at the scene.

Police are searching for the suspect who is believed to be driving a small white vehicle, according to witnesses.

Authorities are trying to determine if the victim died from the shooting or the crash.

Oklahoma County Sheriff's, Choctaw, Luther, Harrah, Jones and Spencer police all responded to the scene.
