A crash involving two semi-trucks shut down the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 at Peebly Road near Harrah Thursday morning.
The driver of one of the semi's involved said a pickup truck came alongside the semis, and when it tried to stop it wound up hitting the first semi. This caused the second semi to collide with the pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.
There was a second pickup truck involved in the accident that was forced over the center median. The driver was not seriously injured.
All eastbound lanes of I-40 reopened around 7:45 a.m. The interstate was closed for nearly four hours.
This is a developing story.
