Two injury accidents have taken place along Interstate 240 on Saturday afternoon.
The first injury accident happened on Interstate 240 near South Eastern Avenue.
Authorities said an extrication was requested on the scene.
The person extricated, identified as 26-year-old Nicholas Chamberlain, died at the scene.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Chamberlain died due to head and leg injuries.
According to OHP, Chamberlain was traveling in the inside lane. Chamberlain then exited the inside lane to the outside lane and struck another vehicle in the rear.
OHP's report said Chamberlain had an "odor of alcohol."
Interstate 240 had been shut down, but is currently back to funneling traffic through one lane.
A second injury accident was reported on Interstate 240, this time near South Bryant Avenue.
The second accident was reported just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
The person's condition in the second injury accident are not known at this time.
Authorities said the Bryant Avenue accident is related to the South Eastern Avenue accident.
