A domestic dispute on Saturday ended in an officer-involved shooting, The Village police said.

Neighbors said this is something they saw coming.

"The house has had issues before but not to this extreme," said Jason Bugbee, a neighbor.

"(The) Village police have been here like I said, several times," said another neighbor.

Christopher Poor, 49, was fatally shot Saturday by a police officer from The Village.

Police told News 9 they were called to the home to keep the peace while a visitor packed their belongings.

Officers said Poor pulled out a weapon. Neighbors told News 9 the weapon was a baseball bat.

That is when The Village police officer began shooting at Poor.

Witnesses said a woman inside of the house ran to her neighbor's house.

"They just shot my husband, they shot Chris, they killed Chris," the woman reportedly said.

Court records show Poor had a history of domestic abuse and protective orders against him.

The officer who fired his weapon was not injured.

"It's a tragedy. I hope it doesn't happen anywhere else," said a neighbor.

The Oklahoma County sheriff's office is investigating the deadly shooting. They said they cannot release any more information as of Monday evening.
