In-person enrollment begins for Oklahoma City students who don't have internet access or need help with registration.
Enrollment will continue through next Monday. Sign-up dates are split on a last name basis.
The district is requiring families to have their temperature taken once inside, wear face masks and socially distance.
Oklahoma City schools are switching to online enrollment due to COVID-19. If someone needs face-to-face help, enrollment sessions will help walk families through the process.
The district will help families with last names beginning with A through F on Wednesday. Last names beginning with G through L will be helped Thursday while last names beginning with M through R will be able to enroll on Friday.
Enrollment continues next Monday with last names beginning with S through Z. Everyone who was not able to enroll this week or next Monday will be able to enroll on August 13, regardless of last name.
All enrollment opportunities will be from 8 a.m. through 2 p.m., except for August 13.
"We will be open then from 4 p.m. through 7 p.m. That is open for any family, no matter what your last name is, appointment or not,” Thelma Parks Elementary School Principal Michelle Lewis said. “If you come, we will help get your student enrolled in school.”
The district is encouraging people to call and make appointments with their oldest child's school first.
If there is more than one student that requires enrollment, the district said people can get them all signed up through your oldest child's school.
