OKC Church Helps Families Get Ready For Back To School

A local church helped Oklahoma City metro families with back to school supplies.

Oklahoma City Faith Church gave out 5,000 backpacks and 100,000 school supply items. They even handed out 10,000 burritos.

"It's things like that when you get to see the students, see the kids faces, and its not a box anymore. You are actually giving them hope," Said Hannah Esparza from Faith Church.

The event was entirely based on donations and volunteers.

In total, the church was able to help a thousand families.
