Babysitter Arrested, Accused Of Child Abuse

A babysitter was arrested after she was accused of abusing a 7-month-old child, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reported.

Candice Vazquez, 28, was charged with two counts of child abuse by injury and one count of child neglect.

On June 18, the Harper County Sheriff's Office asked for help in investigating a child abuse investigation.

A 7-month-old was taken to OU Medical Center from a home in Buffalo, Oklahoma. The child was being treated for life-threatening injuries.

Vazquez was taken to the Beaver County jail and is being held on a $250,000 bond.
