3 Detained After Police Chase Ends In NW OKC

Three people were detained after a police chase ended Thursday morning in northwest Oklahoma City.

Officers chased a vehicle and the pursuit ended in a neighborhood near Northwest Expressway and NW 63rd Street.

Police said they initiated the chase after they tried to pull over a vehicle near Northwest Expressway and Rockwell Avenue.

The chase started about 9:45 a.m. Thursday and ended shortly after 10 a.m. Officers said the plate on the suspect vehicle was flagged as stolen.

During the chase, the driver reportedly threw out a gun from the vehicle.

Three people, including a teen, were in the suspect vehicle and they were detained at the scene.
