One man is dead and a woman is injured after a shooting at the Community Food Mart near Northeast 23rd Street and North Lottie Avenue, police said.

One man is dead and a woman is injured after a shooting at the Community Food Mart near Northeast 23rd Street and North Lottie Avenue, police said.

According to authorities, both victims were found on the ground in the parking lot. The victim's were taken to OU Medical Center to be treated for their injuries. Police said the male victim died on the way to the hospital.

"Since that transport, the male victim has passed. He has passed due to his injuries. The female subject has non-life threatening injuries," said Lieutenant Charles Schamel.

Police said investigators learned that an altercation took place leading to the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Cori Gay shooting the victim's.

Gay and a second suspect, identified as 42-year-old Marlon Craft, fled the scene but were quickly apprehended by officers. Both men were booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on murder charges, police said.
