Oklahoma will be hot and sunny Tuesday, still feeling like August.
We are closely monitoring the tropics. Tropical Storm Laura is forecasted to become a Major Hurricane. It will be a category 3 with winds up to 115 mph!
The storm will make landfall along the Texas and Louisiana border late Wednesday night. Folks along the coast are preparing for a very dangerous storm.
As Laura weakens and moves to the north, we will have chances of heavy rain in parts of Oklahoma. The exact track will still shift some, but as of Tuesday morning, parts of southeast Oklahoma could see at least 3 to 5 inches of rain. Central Oklahoma looks to miss out on most of the heavy rain this round.
