Riversport Highlights Their New Attraction Surf OKC

Michael J Knopp with Riversport OKC joined News 9 on Sunday to talk about how you can ride the waves with their newest attraction.

Surf OKC is Oklahoma’s first surfing experience and is now open at the Boathouse District. The $1.9M Flowrider surfer was built with funds from MAPS 3, a one-cent sales tax initiative to fund projects that enhance the quality of life for metro area residents. RIVERSPORT will operate the new surf attraction which will be included in the adventure park’s day and season passes.

“The MAPS 3 RIVERSPORT project was designed to offer unique outdoor amenities to our residents and visitors, and Surf OKC certainly furthers that vision,” said Mayor David Holt. “I can’t wait to hear people say that they learned how to surf in Oklahoma City.”
