People who use the West Bank trail can expect to see many detour signs on the trail between 23rd street and 36th place on the west side of the Arkansas river soon.

A portion of the River Parks trail will close and detours will be set up for people who walk and bike in the area. It’s is all a part of the city's upgrades to the Zink Dam and pedestrian bridge.

The city says detour signs will be placed along sidewalks and in areas where people can use the street. In early August, city officials including Mayor G.T. Bynum broke ground on the project which calls for several new measures to increase safety and new gates to be added to the dam.
