Multiple agencies are responding to a large fire Friday morning at the Braum's Dairy farm and processing plant in Tuttle.

According to authorities, the fire was reported around 2:30 a.m, at the facility near Country Road 2880 and Highway 37.

Tuttle fire officials said the area of the facility that caught fire houses about 3,000 bales of hay.

Officials said the hay was probably delivered wet. Hay can get hot internally, spontaneously combust and catch fire.

Fire officials said they need to let the fire burn out on its own. If they try to put water on it, the hay bales could break apart and reignite.

The Tuttle fire chief said it could take several days for the fire to burn out.

The ice cream and dairy plants at the facility have not been impacted by the fire.

No animals have been harmed.
