Pottawatomie Co. Sheriff's Office Says Man Shot, Killed Father Near Wanette

A 30-year-old man is accused of shooting and killing his father Monday afternoon near Wanette, the Pottawatomie County sheriff's office said.

According to authorities, this started off as a missing person's investigation until authorities found the body. 

The man was burned and his body was found in a hay bale, law officers said.

As of Tuesday, law officers said the son admitted to killing his father and he was most likely on drugs at the time of the crime.

The suspect is accused of trying to get rid of the body.

So far, no one has been identified in this case.
