Del City, Bishop McGuinness Agree To Cancel Game Due To COVID-19

Administrators from Del City and Bishop McGuinness have agreed to cancel their football game scheduled for Friday, September 18 due to new COVID-19 positive tests. The game will not be rescheduled.

According to Mid-Del Public Schools, two Del City football players and one coach have tested positive for the virus. The school district said it has contacted members of the football team who may need to quarantine due to a potential exposure.

Del City football practices have also been suspended through Monday, Sept. 21.

Practices are expected to resume on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
