Man At Center Of Landmark Supreme Court Case Now Charged

The man at the center of a landmark supreme court case is now charged in federal court. 

Federal Prosecutors charged Jimcy McGirt with three counts of sexual abuse of a minor.

Oklahoma's case against McGirt eventually led to the supreme court ruling that most of Eastern Oklahoma is still tribal land.

Because of the ruling McGirt's case and all felony cases involving Native Americans in that area are outside of the state of Oklahoma's jurisdiction.

McGirt is scheduled for hearing on Wednesday in Muskogee.
