Tulsa Retailer Backwoods Closes After 40 Years

Tulsa retailer Backwoods has shut its doors for good.

Their Tulsa location near 51st and Sheridan has permanently closed after more than 40 years. On Monday they posted on Facebook saying that the 21st was its final day of business. They said it's a combination of the financial challenges from COVID-19 and more customers switching to online shopping.

While the physical store is closed, customers can still shop at the store's website.
