Person Ran Over, Killed In Shawnee Mall Parking Lot

Shawnee police said a person was run over and killed in the parking lot of a restaurant early Wednesday morning.

The fatality happened outside of a Buffalo Wild Wings at the Shawnee Mall.

Police received a call to the restaurant just before 1 a.m. Upon arrival, Shawnee police determined that 35-year-old Carlotta Rich ran over 40-year-old Marc Brennan with a pickup truck.

Brennan, who was seriously injured, was transported to an emergency room where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities said they have arrested Rich and booked her into the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center on a first-degree murder charge.

Police are still investigating the motive of the fatality.
