7-Month Old Pauls Valley Child Recovering After Being Shot

The Garvin County Sheriff's Department says that a 7-month old infant is recovering from a gunshot wound at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Deputies say this being considered an accidental shooting at this time, but an arrest has been made. Garvin County Sheriff Jim Mullet says Larry Hirrill shot the child by accident while playing with a gun. Hirrill was arrested on complaints of felony possession of a firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm.

Deputies say the infant is expected to make a full recovery.
