Senator Jim Inhofe announced that the Dollar General in Porter that was burned down in March will be rebuilt.
It was one of the small community’s only grocery stores. Senator Inhofe said Dollar General has committed to rebuild the store and plans to expand the space to offer more groceries to the community.
The rebuild is expected to be finished in the spring.
In July, deputies arrested Daniel Moon in connection to the fire. He is charged with first-degree arson.
