OCPD Confirms Burned Body Found In SW OKC

The Oklahoma City Police Department is investigating a scene where a burned body was found in southwest Oklahoma City.

Authorities received a call just after 9 a.m. Sunday and responded to the scene near the intersection of Southwest 104th Street and South Morgan Road.

Firefighters discovered a vehicle was on fire and quickly extinguished it. Firefighters also discovered a body inside the vehicle and requested assistance from the Oklahoma City Police Department.

According to police, the age and gender of the victim is not known at this time.

OCPD's homicide division has taken charge in the investigation.
