2 Arrested In Connection With Death Of Woman In SW OKC

Two people were arrested in connection with the death of a woman found Wednesday night, police said.

Police arrested 35-year-old Joshua D. Driskell and 36-year-old Iris Viezcas on complaints of murder and burglary.

Amanda Thompson, 32, was found dead shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment in the 3100 block of SW 59th.

Police were called to the home after three people attempted to kick down the door and fired shots at the victims.

A short distance away from the homicide, a man was found with a gunshot wound. Officers initially thought this was a separate incident.

During the course of the investigation, officers determined Driskell was shot during the home invasion. He is in a local hospital receiving treatment.

A warrant was issued for Viezcas and she was arrested on Friday. She was booked into the Oklahoma County jail.
