Multiple Yukon, Piedmont Schools Without Power During Storm

Multiple schools in Yukon and Piedmont are without power, the districts said Monday.

Surrey Hills Elementary School and Redstone Intermediate School in Yukon and Stone Ridge Elementary and Early Childhood Center in Piedmont are without power, the districts said.

Parents are encouraged to pick up their children as soon as possible.

The parent/guardian or person picking up the child from the school must have a picture ID to show to the designated school officials in Yukon.

All Piedmont Public Schools' parents are encouraged to pick up their children at their earliest convenience. All Piedmont school sites will remain open until normally scheduled times. Buses are expected to run as scheduled. 

Piedmont Public Schools and Yukon Public Schools have canceled all after school activities on Monday.
