A quadruple shooting left one man dead and three others injured after shots were fired in southwest Oklahoma City.
The shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. Sunday at the Westminster Events Center near Southwest 104th Street and South Western Avenue.
“Just not used to seeing that around here at all. It was shocking,” resident Will King said.
King, who lives across the street from the scene of the shooting, said he and a friend heard gunfire.
“It was really scary, especially it being Halloween night,” King said.
King said they went to check it out and were horrified by what they found.
“A bunch of people like on the ground,” King said. “Yelling and freaking out, and so, we knew something had gone down.”
According to police, four people were shot – three males and one female. One of the men died at the scene.
“Just shows you how short your life can be and how it can be taken away at any moment,” King said.
The three who survived were transported to a local hospital.
One of them remains in critical condition while the other two are listed as stable. In addition to the four people shot, police said several others were also hurt.
“I guess [when] the shots were fired, people were making their way for the exits and some people tripped and got trampled on,” OCPD Sgt. Rob Robertson said. “Those were all minor injuries.”
No arrests have been made in this case. Investigators are talking with witnesses and plan to use possible surveillance video to track down the gunman.
OCPD has not received any suspect information at this time.
