Tulsa City Council To See Changes Following Tight Races

Tulsa's City Council will see some changes as voters deiced on three city council seats during Tuesday's election. Council members for district five, six and seven were up for re-election, the tightest race being in district five.

Tulsa's City Council will see some changes as voters deiced on three city council seats during Tuesday's election.

Council members for district five, six and seven were up for re-election, the tightest race being in district five.

District five incumbent Cass Fahler, who won the seat in 2018, lost to Mykey Arthrell by 347 votes. Arthrell won with just over 51% of the vote.

In districts six and seven Connie Dodson and Lori Decter Wright will retain their city council seats. Dodson, who represents district six, won with about 62% of the vote while Decter Wright, the district seven representative, won with about 55% of the vote.

Tulsa City Councilors serve two-year terms and the next time the district will be up for re-election will be in 2022.
