The Oklahoma State Election Board said that voters set a record for the most votes ever cast for a President in the history of Oklahoma.

Nearly 1.6 million votes were cast statewide. In Tulsa County, the election board reported about 266,000 votes with all precincts reporting.

"Considering this was a Presidential General Election conducted during a pandemic, one week after a major ice storm, with a record level of voter participation, it went fairly smoothly," Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax said. "I am very proud of our county election officials, poll workers and State Election Board staff for their perseverance, professionalism and dedication to free and fair elections."

The state election board will certify statewide results on Tuesday.
