Newcastle FD, Other Agencies Battled Grass Fire

Firefighters in Newcastle have appeared to get a firm grip on a grass fire that began burning late Wednesday morning.

Newcastle Fire Department requested a couple brush pumpers from the Oklahoma City Fire Department to battle the blaze.

The fire was reported near the intersection of North MacArthur Boulevard and Sandrock Road west of U.S. Highway 62 in Newcastle.
