Two people are in jail after Wagoner County deputies find guns and more than 50 grams of heroin in their car.
"You can't have your kids around this type of activity in the state of Oklahoma," said Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliot.
Deputies got a call that Caitlyn Cutbirth and Sammy Allen had been using drugs and had guns around their child. Deputies went to check, and Elliott says Allen and Cutbirth acted nervously and deputies smelled marijuana and spotted what looked like heroin in the car.
"It was in plain view a spoon that looked like it had burnt heroin on it," he said.
Elliott says they found 53 grams of heroin, three guns, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in the car.
"That's who we are looking for, the people who are distributing this dope in our county so we can intercept them and their dope and get them out of here," Elliott said.
The two are now in the Wagoner County Detention Center and Elliott says this behavior will not be tolerated in the county.
"We're vigilant, we're going to keep hammering these drug dealers, and hopefully we're going to send a very clear message to them that you're not welcome in this county and you really need to go someplace else or you are going to face the wrath of the wagoner county sheriff's office," he said.
Elliott says their main priority was the safety of the little girl. He says she has been placed with a close family member.
