Veteran Salute: Phillip Humphrey

We want to salute the men and women who served our country.

On Dec. 8, we want to salute Army veteran Phillip Humphrey.

Phillip was drafted to fight in Vietnam, but was a "conscientious observer" and refused to carry a weapon.

He instead served as a field medic and received several honors for his service.

These days he's retired but is always looking for ways to help his community.

His nominator said he's a pillar of faith for their family.

Phillip, thank you for your service.
