OG&E says they have been preparing for another winter storm after the historic October 2020 ice storm that affected over 600,000 customers.
Their emergency response system is active, and employees monitor what could happen to power if the storm continues to worsen.
They have brought in 2,000 contractors, tree trimmers, and support personnel, ready to go.
OG&E says there are still repairs being done after the historic October 2020 ice storm but this will not slow them down to restore outages.
"Just know we are ready," said Gayle Maxwell with OG&E. "We are already going to be on the ground as soon as we can. As long as it is safe to do so to get the power back on." She continues, "We encourage our customers to stay safe. If you see a down powerline down, stay away from that."
If your power goes out, OG&E says you need to report the outage. You can call 1-800-272-9471 or visit their website.
