CVS Health is updating its progress on vaccinating some of the most vulnerable in Oklahoma.
The state partnered with CVS Health to distribute COVID-19 vaccines at 175 skilled-nursing homes and assisted-living centers in Oklahoma.
The company said it is finished giving the first dose at 60 nursing facilities, with the second doses well underway.
Last week, the state authorized CVS to administer vaccinations at 116 assisted-living and other long-term care facilities. The company said it expects it will complete the first doses at 70% of those types of facilities this week.
CVS said this brings peace of mind to thousands of residents, staff and their loved ones.
CVS also offers on-site COVID-19 vaccines in a few states, but Oklahoma is not one of them.
