Veteran Salute: Elmer Phillips

We continue to salute the men and women who served our country.

On Jan. 26, we're recognizing Army veteran Elmer Phillips.

Elmer recently celebrated his 95th birthday.

He served overseas in the Korean War and World War II.

His nominator told us not only is he a great veteran, he is an amazing father.

When he married the love of his life, he also took full responsibility for her two kids as if they were his own.

Their family has grown, but so has the love between them all.
