Veteran Salute: Andrew Parker

News On 6 is continuing to recognize veterans across Green Country who are making a difference in their communities.

Today we are recognizing Andrew Parker, who is on active duty.

Andrew was nominated by his older sister, who said he always wanted to pursue a military career.

He joined the Navy straight out of high school in 2011 and is now a Petty Officer 2nd Class in the US Navy, currently stationed in Japan.

With travel restrictions, we are told his family has not seen him in person in more than a year, but his sister said they are all proud of the soldier he has become.
