A shipment of Amazon packages caused a scare in downtown Oklahoma City early Thursday morning.

According to police, at least three packages were spotted outside of the federal courthouse on Northwest 4th Street.

Police say a securtiy guard making rounds at 3 a.m. saw the packages beside the bushes near the front entrance.

Oklahoma City Police believed the packages to be suspicious because the delivery did not follow standard protocol. The department alerted the bomb squad.

A bomb squad robot ran a diagnostic check and determined there was no hazardous material.

Police say the packages were addressed to employees in the building. The employees confirmed they were expecting a shipment.

The area was blocked off from Broadway to Harvey and from 5th to Dean McGee for about three hours before police gave the all-clear.
