One OKC native is giving back to the community through the One Little Person Scholarship.
"I work several jobs aside from my full-time job just make sure that fund is secure," said the scholarship creator Tobie Mitchell.
It's worth $500 dollars and is awarded to African American graduating seniors or undergrad students attending college in Oklahoma.
In order to apply, students have to write about one person who's impacted their life.
"I thought about this because sometimes we have absent parents," said Mitchell. "We have coaches, teachers {and} next-door neighbors that we don't really think about when we've thought about how far we've come."
Mitchell also hosts workshops to help educate future college students on applying and affording school.
