Authorities Say 1 Victim Injured In Northwest OKC Shooting

Oklahoma City police and fire department responded to a Friday morning shooting in the northwest part of the metro.

The shooting happened in a residential neighborhood near Northwest 50th Street and North May Avenue just before 7:30 a.m.

According to police, the two men who live in the residence had two women at their place overnight. One of the men started fighting one of the women. As the other man was trying to stop the altercation, he was shot by the man instigating the fight.  

Authorities said the victim is being transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspected shooter is in custody and is cooperating with police.
