The first of two winter storms is on the way, along with dangerous temperatures and wind chills, everyone will see a lot of snow!
The heaviest snow begins overnight Saturday into Sunday morning from west to east.
Road conditions will deteriorate quickly and some may become impassable.
The snow will last all day Sunday into Sunday night before ending quickly Monday morning. The first storm could drop as much as eight to locally 16 inches of snow for some. Eight to locally 12 inches of snow is possible throughout central Oklahoma.
Closures are likely Monday through the middle of the week when our second winter storm arrives Tuesday into Wednesday, adding another three to six inches of snow.
Low temperatures will drop below zero by Monday morning and wind chills could reach 20 to 30 degrees below zero.
After Wednesday, temperatures slowly start climbing as the sunshine returns. Highs could make it up to freezing by next Saturday.
