Today, we honor Sergeant Earl Geis.
Geis grew up on a farm in southwestern Oklahoma and was drafted into the Army Air Corp when he was 23-years-old.
He served as an air mechanic specialist during World War II and helped set up the first air strip in Normandy on D-Day.
