Legislation to create a 12-member task force to study, and prevent human trafficking will now head to the State Senate for Approval.
The 'Advisory Task Force on Prevention of Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation' would serve law enforcement groups and several state departments including the Department of Homeland Security.
If approved in the Senate, the task force will study human trafficking, prostitution and child exploitation in the state and make recommendations on laws to prevent the crimes.
