Edmond police arrested a second suspect Monday in connection with a deadly stabbing last month.
Police responded Feb. 27 to a domestic call in the 1900 block of Three Stars Road.
“When our officers arrived, there were several adults in the home as well as several juveniles,” said Emily Ward, with the Edmond Police Department.
Police arrested an unnamed 16-year-old at the scene on a second-degree murder complaint.
“There was a male, who we later identified as Eddie Beesley Jr. who had several stab wounds to his body and did pass away on the scene,” said Ward.
Court documents show Beesley suffered "six visible wounds consistent with the knife the defendant said he used to stab Eddie, all along the left side of his torso."
Now, Edmond police said a 39-year-old woman also played a part in the deadly incident.
“This morning [Monday. March 15th] in Edmond we arrested Crystal Nichols on the complaint of second-degree murder,” Ward said. “As of right now she is being held at our jail and will eventually be transported to the Oklahoma County Jail.”
Initially officers thought Nichols was related to the 16-year-old arrested but new information leads them to believe they are not.
“We believed she was his mother based on how she was referring to him, the relationship between the two of them is actually something that is a part of the investigation,” said Ward.
Investigators said the two suspects saw Eddie arguing with his girlfriend. Nichols got involved and things turned physical in a bedroom.
Edmond Police told News 9 the investigation is ongoing, and they are still doing interviews.
