The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a man involved in a head-on collision in Noble last week died from his injuries Wednesday morning.
Authorities said 47-year-old Bruce Underwood died just around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday after colliding his Chevrolet Silverado with a Dodge Journey last Friday night.
Underwood was initially admitted to OU Medical Center in serious condition with sustained injuries to his leg, trunk internal and other external parts of his body.
The two adults in the Dodge Journey were admitted in serious and critical conditions while four-year-old and six-year-old children in the vehicle sustained injuries that were not as serious.
According to OHP, Underwood's vehicle was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 77 before veering into the oncoming traffic on the northbound side of the highway.
While the driver of the Dodge's condition was deemed normal, OHP said Underwood's condition at the time of the collision is still under investigation.
OHP, however, has determined that driving under the influence as the cause of the collision.
