Firefighters Put Out Edmond Structure Fire

Firefighters responded to a structure fire Sunday night in Edmond.

The fire was located near West Waterloo Road just west of North Broadway Avenue.

Firefighting units on scene were able to extinguish the fire quickly.

Authorities said it started in an outdoor fireplace which caused the structure's roof to partially collapse.

Edmond Fire Department deputy chief Chris Denton told News 9 no one was injured. However, several animals were rescued from the structure.
