OCPD Says 5-Year-Old Shot By Another Child In NE OKC

Oklahoma City police said Friday that the victim who died of a gunshot wound Thursday in northeast OKC was 5 years old.

OCPD initially reported Thursday that the victim was 3 years old.

Authorities said 5-year-old Trevion Cole and another child appeared to have found a gun inside a residence on Northeast 29th Street and Martin Luther King Avenue when the other child accidentally shot Cole.

While an adult was present in the home, police said the person was not in the room at the time of the shooting.
