The Oklahoma Transportation Commission is expected to meet virtually for its monthly update on Monday morning. Some topics of the meeting include upcoming summer improvement projects and efforts to keep bikers and pedestrians safe.

State Secretary of Transportation Tim Gatz will present a proclamation authored by Governor Kevin Stitt for Work Zone Safety Awareness Week. The proclamation claims this event was observed last week, but it will be presented at Monday’s meeting.

Commissioners are expected to consider a contract for summer pavement resurfacing along State Highway 66 in Creek County. Installation of centerline rumble strips and pavement markings in some Green Country counties is also expected to be presented.

The meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday and will be streamed virtually.
