Trailer Released For Matt Damon Movie, 'Stillwater,' Shot Partly In Oklahoma

The trailer for a movie filmed partially in Logan County has been released.

Actor Matt Damon plays an oil-rig worker from Oklahoma who goes to France to try to exonerate his estranged daughter, who is accused of a murder she didn't commit. The movie is called "Stillwater," and it had been scheduled originally for release in Nov. 2020. It will come out July 30, 2021.

This drama was directed by Tom McCarthy, who won an Oscar for his screenplay for the 2015 movie "Spotlight." He was also nominated for a Best Director Oscar.

Filming for "Stillwater" happened in the town of Coyle and in France.
