The Oklahoma City Dodgers will return to the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark for the first time since Labor Day weekend 2019.
The 2020 minor league baseball season was cancelled due to the pandemic, so the team hasn’t played a home game in more than 600 days.
Safety procedures were implemented with the help of the Oklahoma City-County Health Department and in accordance with the Major League Baseball.
The stadium will open at 50 percent capacity. The team initially planned to only allow 30 percent for the months of May and June.
Instead of paper tickets, fans will swipe a mobile pass at the digital scanners upon entry.
In the stands, fans will be seated in pods of two to six seats. Each one will be distanced from other pods.
There will be plexiglass dividers at the concession stands and signs encouraging social distancing. Per minor league rules, masks are required at all times unless a fan is actively eating or drinking.
The opening pitch against the Sacramento River Cats is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
